Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination(JCECE) Board is the exam conducting authority and also sets the eligibility criteria. It is a state level exam for undergraduate category. Through this exam one can seek admission into the first year of various professional courses in the field of architecture, engineering, horticulture, medical and many others. It is conducted every year usually in the month of June. Let’s look over the eligibility criteria –
|B.Tech/ B.E||Should have passed class 12th or equivalent examination with 45% as the minimum marks (40% for reserved category) Compulsory subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics There is no age limit for Engineering courses|
|MBBS/ BDS||Should have passed class 12th or equivalent with minimum 50% marks (40% for reserved category) in PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) Compulsory subject – English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology Should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission|
|BHMS||Should have passed class 12th exam or equivalent Compulsory courses – Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Minimum age limit is 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission|
|B.V.Sc. and A.H||Should have passed class 12th or equivalent with minimum 50% marks (40% for reserved category) in PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology Compulsory subject – English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology Minimum age limit is 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission|
|B.Sc||Should have passed class 12th exam or equivalent Compulsory courses – Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Mathematics. Minimum age limit is 17 years while the maximum age limit is 22 years.|
|A candidate must be a citizen of India|
|He/she should be a local or permanent resident of Jharkhand|
|In order to secure admission in any institution a candidate will have to go through a medical check. Only those candidates who have cleared this stage will be considered.|

JCECE 2020: APPLICATION PROCESS
Once you find yourself eligible for the exam the next step is to apply for it, here is an outlook how-
- Applicants can fill the application form by three modes i.e. online mode, ICR form and OMR form.
- JCECE 2020 application process is expected to start from the 2nd week of April, 2020.
- Candidates can submit their application form by the 1st week of May, 2020.
Students will be required to upload scanned images of their passport size photograph, signature and left-hand thumb impression.
